Lina and I first thought that we should have Carl's Junior, then due to the majority vote, we moved to The Cafe Cartel. Which later I am sure Angela regretted.
Not everyone was there yet, so while we waited for the rest of the teachers to get there, we ordered some appetizers, first.
The company was great but unfortunately, the food wasn't. Two of our friends, actually had rotten potatoes, served to them...yeekkkksss. It dampened the mood, poor girls. But we had great fun. We shopped and ate dinner... now was time for dessert.
We walked around... you know with six ladies, the tendency to wander is so predictable. We finally agreed on going to the Teadot for desserts. As we were pretty full, we suggested a couple of cakes for all to share.
The girls were to upload their pictures too.... am waiting.
And here are Angela, Sarah and Laoshi, being crazy.
Here's the SINFUL Cupcake that Lina and I picked out. Yes, it's actually called SINFUL.
And ohh... boy was it sinful for the hips.
The other desserts that joined us.
It was a great night out, a much needed stress reliever for all us teachers. We had a good time, shopping, chatting, eating and laughing our heads off.You have to meet each other outside the working arena, to really get to know your colleagues. We were enjoying ourselves so much that we hardly realized that it was already 10-ish. So we wrapped up and headed home.
Here's a picture of us exhanging our gifts.
While we were shopping earlier, we found really pretty mugs. And Lina suggested that we got one for ourselves and one for our partners. The blue mugs represented the English teachers and the red mugs, the Chinese teachers. It was a great night out, a much needed stress reliever for all us teachers.
