Aida's birthday

Aida started working with us for a while now and figured that she is still in her settling stage. Like we did with Tutie, the idea was to take her out for a treat.

Today, we were suppose to go for a celebration with the Faith Kids at Suntec. But this morning I woke up with a terrible sprain on my right side of my back. Since I had to attend training at Katong, I did so however in pain. But the thought of bringing the boys out for the party and with the trains being down since this morning, I decided that I would pass on it. Instead I called the boys out to Yishun.

We ate at Manhattan's Fish Market.

The crab chowder was really yummy.

As also the fish and chips.

The cheese fries were ooh so good. I also found the price for the fries, very affordable.

Here is Immanuel, not wanting to have his photo taken.

Here is Aida and Immanuel.

Just like mummy Ivan enjoys his desserts just as much.

It's always special when Ivan allows anyone to share his food.

Last Friday nite

"Last Friday Night" is a hot single by Katy Perry at the moment. But I am just talking about my last Friday night.

It was a full day at work going on excursion and swimming with the kids. I was having a long day, but still wanted to have some alone time with the hubby.

It was a good day to pick the date due to many reasons. We had wanted to dine at this Russian place at Chomp Chomp. Upon getting there, we were so disappointed with the place. It looked so dingy and run down, the carpets had a stale stench that filled the room. And the funny thing was, for a Russian restaurant, the staff were all from China!

So we wondered out and into tur new shopping center near by. There this place called Relish caught out eye. A simple and cozy layout.

We were the first to dine when they opened at 6pm. We ordered and was delighted by the service.

For starters we had Onion rings. The rings were normal, but the curry dip, was simply unique.

Next came the Otah Brussechtta. And oh boy! It was good.

Jenny's Wedding

Jenny was getting married, another chance for my dear cousin to get things right. She had very much like my ow sister while we were growing up. We lost touch during our adolescence, as my parents had me on house arrest for those tender years. Nevertheless, she knows that she can count on me. She requested that I said a few words on her behalf at her wedding. I was honored to oblige.

It started to rain very heavily, at 3pm, and I was not impressed. I had to wear a saree, as the bride's request. It had been a very long time since I had actually adorned a saree. But this time, I cheated, as I bought a ready-made saree. After Annie's first wedding, I understood that you just can't tie a saree all by yourself. So, I got ready, by myself and wanted to take a picture before I left. But it was so crappy, because, there was no one to snap a good shot for me. So here is me again, snapping myself on my Iphone.

Make up and attire in place, I am ready to go.

And a very weird shot taken for me by my boy Immanuel

A pathetic attempt to capture my look in a saree. After all God only knows when I will wear a saree again.
The wedding reception was at the Grassroots, at Yio Chu Kang.
Met up with family and friends there. Snap.. snap..

Here's my cousin Michelle and me.

Here's my cousin Sharon and me.

Here's my grandma and me.

Here's little Jason's lil gal, Jessica and me. She's just so adorable.\
I had saved my my speech on my Iphone, and when it was time, I delivered it.

And an edited shot of me. Which I like because of the vintage effect.

Am exhausted

I am feeling pretty tired these days. I am guessing that the traveling to work is taking a toll on me. Poor Immanuel has to travel just like me. But I hear kids are resilient and they bounce back quickly.

I know I made the right decision to move back here. It was kind of like a one year rest over at Kovan. Now that we have moved back here, I am in my toes again. I love that we have much more family time together. (since we are all on the same level)

Lunch with my boy

Had so much of work to settle at home today. I don't know why, but both Peter and I feel that this is the most annoying move ever. Ivan and I came to Sun Plaza to get some groceries. Then I spent some really good quality time with Ivan.

It had been a while since Ivan and I spent time alone. So I asked Ivan, where he would like to have lunch. He mentioned KFC, and we headed there. I brought him to the counter to place an order. He looked at the menu and knew exactly what he wanted. "Big Chicken burger and Cheese fries", he said. I paid and took the tray, he walked with me to the chilli stop. He helped me get the chilli sauce, and straw. It was so sweet, that he was helping me. I then asked him, where he was wanted to sit. He walked to a table and sat. It was so sweet, to allow him to lead and I follow. I enjoyed having this beautiful time alone with Ivan.

Interesting day

Today, I went to visit my new gynae at The Private Suites. It was a nice experience, with complimentary drinks and all. After a good check up, I am on my way to planning for my next pregnancy. It can be exciting and overwhelming all at the same time.

Since I was done with the gynae, I decided that I would get a manicure. Just realized that the hospital had a shop for mani & pedi. So I decided that I would spoil myself, a little. This was a was nice and cozy place. They served me two wonderful chocolates and warm green tea. The price was alright, but the service wasn't that great.

I always like this colour, for years I found that this shades make my nails look like cranberries.

Lunch date with J

As usual, J and I meet each other annually to touch base on our lives. And since I was on leave for Monday and Tuesday, we decided to meet up. As she is expecting, I did a favour and traveled all the way to where she was. She looks beautiful as ever and glowing with her new sense of motherhood.

We grabbed lunch, and chatted about the new stage of her life. It was exciting, and I hope to meet up with her more regularly, to share in this happiness of her's. Babies are so adorable.

In fact, Peter and I are planning to have another addition to our family. And this time it's not another dog. I am actually hoping for a little girl. But all in time, all in time. I first need to find a good gynecologist and have lots of research to do.

Bintan: Farewell

The time has come to bid farewell to our short but great trip. We both had a good sleep, with a great dinner and a good rest, both what we so needed. The day to leave had come, and we headed out for breakfast, not until we took a few shots.
Breakfast time...
My only purchase on this holiday... can you believe it!
Since breakfast was heavy, we settled for a light snack, before we headed home.
Heres me awaiting to board our ferry, as we lounge in the Emerald Lounge.
And we were off, for home sweet home.
