I am feeling rather down... It's been a year now that I started Beloved Rock Kids. It was my very precious idea, to help children with special needs. There was so much that I wanted to do, although I started with much passion. I come to realize that passion, time and money ain't all you need.
Due to my very time consuming lifestyle with my boys, one whom is autistic, I have lost touch with many of my friends. Thus, networking was a little of a challenge. I tried very hard, and found many who encouraged me. I truly, needed people who cared as much to help me make a difference. But along the way, I was rather disappointed to know that, many whom helped, did so, for the money. Eventually, I was not going to pay people for their passion to make a difference in the lives for these poor children.
Well, looking on the bright side, all was not lost. From time to time, I get very encouraging comments from teachers in the special needs arena, who share with me, that they found my blog helpful. Thanks you guys (you know who you are).
I wanted to share my story with everyone who may be in similar situations as I (parenting a special needs child). I wanted to help these parents with transitions and the children with a good foundation in English, using phonics, and so much more. But all is not lost, I still am able to help children with my knowledge on Letterland Phonics.
So as I say good bye to Beloved Rock Kids... I feel sad...
