We celebrate fifteen years and many more to come

Fifteen years ago today, we said I do. Many years have come and gone. I am glad that we still enjoy gazing into each others eyes and find comfort in each others arms. This year, I am glad to have the company of my sweet hubby. As we no longer have a helper, we could escape for some time alone without the children only in the morning. Pete wanted to surprise me by making our dining plans. After settling the boys off to school, we found ourselves, heading to town, a little too early in the morning.

We figured we would pass some time strolling around as we take in the business of the morning city life. Since I am a breakfast person, I found myself wanting to fill my tummy. So I kindly asked Pete to stop for a cup of tea before we headed off to his place of choice. We went down at to the Basement of ION, and found a sweet little place called Tea Loft.
I love and appreciate all things sweet and pretty. Like this tea cup and saucer, love the detail on it.
I also loved the deco and the ambiance that the place had. They managed to capture the essence of the old school coffee shops with an interesting Vintage outlook, and yet it had a fresh feel to it.
I love the vintage curtain designs.
And the interesting casual display on the wall.
We passed time doing what we loved most, strolling and talking. Finally, we had to sit down to brunch, due to time constraints. We had to be home as Ivan would be home from school at 2.15pm today.
As we headed down from the Takashimaya, we spotted this sweet French Cafe.
I have always been talking about wanting to visit Paris and to take relaxed brunches at the cafes there. Pete figured that I would definitely enjoy this place. And he was totally right.
We so should not have, but we ordered a bread basket due to the recommendations of the waiter. Even though we enjoyed the bread basket, later we were a little too filled for the main course.
The bread basket was an interesting experience, but we were both trying to cut on our carbs.
Here, I am awaiting my dish that I cannot pronounce, to arrive. I ordered a chicken dish, while Pete ordered a beef dish. I was really enjoying myself here.
My super delicious chicken dish.
This was Pete's dish. I personally found that although my dish was super delicious, Pete's dish, was rather less filling.
Here's Pete trying to eat his delicious meal, as I keep bugging him to allow me to take a picture.
Our meal was a pleasure to the palette. We would have lingered on if we did not have to rush for to be home for Ivan.
Since I was too stuff to have dessert, I did the nest best thing. I took my dessert to go. It was so hard to decide what to buy, as there was so many to choose from.
Some time later, it was time to have the desserts that I brought home.
This Chocolate Almond Macaroon is totally DIVINE!!!
It was the best brunch we had in some time, and of course the first time we did it French.
